Dove Awards 2010

Nel 1969, la Gospel Music Association, associazione che ha lo scopo di promuovere e sostenere la musica cristiana, creò i GMA Dove (in inglese significa “colomba”) Awards per mettere in risalto la musica cristiana. I premi, che rappresentano vari stili musicali, tra cui metal, pop, rock, vengono assegnati ogni anno a Nashville, Texas, negli Stati Uniti.

I “Dove Awards”, che potremo definire gli “Oscar” della musica cristiana, negli scorsi anni sono stati assegnati ad artisti come Steven Curtis Chapman (Artista e autore dell’anno nel 2009), Casting Crowns (gruppo dell’anno 2009), Natalie Grant (voce femminile dell’anno 2009), Michael W. Smith (per il brano “A new Hallelujah”) e molti altri.
La consegna dei Dove si è svolta venerdì 21 aprile u.s. e ha visto la partecipazione di artisti cristiani come Amy Grant e Wynonna e di artisti secolari come “The Bachelor”, Tenley Mohlzan.
